Newegg’s Video Games Week sale is continuing to offer a variety of deals on PC gaming components and peripherals. One deal that has grabbed our attention is the reduction on Gigabyte’s G34WQC Gaming Monitor, which is currently available for 10% off.

When putting together a gaming setup, the monitor plays a crucial role, as it sets the parameters for the maximum resolution and framerates you get to experience when playing all your favourite titles. These displays come with plenty of different shapes and sizes, all of which comes with their own benefits. For example, ultrawide gaming monitors are a great option for gamers looking to increase their screen real-estate, making multi-tasking on a single display much easier. Also, these displays are often curved, which leads to a more immersive experience in the latest titles.

Looking at the G34WQC specifically, this 1440p display boasts a 144Hz refresh rate and a 1ms response time, making it an ideal companion for a mid-range gaming PC. As for colour accuracy, this monitor covers 120% sRGB and 90% DCI-P3, which means it will provide a vivid and colourful image that shows off the environments of the latest triple-A titles. For increased immersion, the G34WQC comes with a 1500R curvature, leading to less distractions when gaming.

In terms of connectivity, the G34WQC includes two DisplayPorts and HDMI cables, which lets users connect multiple devices at once. It also includes a 3.5mm audio jack for speakers or a gaming headset. Whilst this display is fairly low on standout features, the AMD FreeSync Premium compatibility will allow gamers to experience smoother gameplay and less technical issues such as screen-tearing or stuttering.

Overall, the Gigabyte G34WQC is a reliable and affordable 1440p ultrawide display that is definitely worth a look for any gamers looking to upgrade their monitor to support a mid-range PC build. We use a number of Gigabyte’s gaming monitors on a daily basis at the GeekaWhat office and they are yet to let us down, so they certainly have our seal of approval!
