The Best ProArt Monitors

1. ASUS ProArt PA279CV

Best 27-inch

Original Review by Jay Harris: ASUS ProART PA279CV Monitor Review – A Display for Professionals

Multi-monitors are a common occurrence within workstations, as it makes multitasking or complicated procedures such as editing a lot easier. In this case, a 27″ monitor like the ASUS ProArt PA279CV is a great choice as a standalone monitor, or paired up with another display. Whether you want to combine this display with a gaming monitor for a hybrid setup, or extend your productivity with another professional display, the PA279CV will easily fit alongside another display.

As a monitor focussed on productivity, the PA279CV comes with a 4K IPS panel, which provides incredible visual fidelity. Additionally, ASUS claim the PA279CV comes with Delta E <2 colour accuracy, with 100% sRGB and 100% Rec.709 coverage.

In terms of performance, the 60Hz refresh rate is fluid enough to make productivity tasks and general browsing feel fairly smooth, as well as some 4K gaming in narrative-led titles. However, the 5ms response time does prevent this design from being suitable for gaming.

2. ASUS ProArt PA32UCR

Best 32-inch

Original Review by Aled Wheeler : ASUS ProArt PA32UCR Monitor Review – Adding a Splash of Colour Accuracy

For those wanting some more screen real-estate, then the 32″ display on the ASUS ProArt PA32UCR will be the better fit for your setup. This monitor possesses very similar specs to the previous ProArt monitor we tested, with the only difference being the larger screen. Just like its 27″ counterpart, the PA32UCR provides users with a vibrant 4K IPS panel, which is perfect for seeing the finer details of photos, videos, and important documents.

During our testing, the PA32UCR also impressed with its remarkable colour accuracy. Reaching full coverage of the sRGB and AdobeRGB colour gamut, this display is a perfect display to use for applications such as Photoshop or Premiere Pro. Whilst our results for DCI-P3 coverage were lower than expected, it is still more accurate than most displays.

Performance-wise, this 32″ monitor boasts a 60Hz refresh rate and 5ms response time, which is more than enough to complete work-based tasks, but limits gaming capabilities. Whilst most consumers looking at this display will be less interested in using it for gaming, an improved response time would make this display mote than capable of playing single-player titles at 4K high settings.

3. ASUS ProArt PA348CGV

Another benefit to this particular ProArt display is the improved performance, as the ProArt PA348CGV comes with a 120Hz refresh rate and 2ms response time. This is a big improvement on the 4K60 limits of most ProArt monitors, making this display arguably the best option within the collection for a gaming and workstation hybrid. Unfortunately, the changes on the PA348CGV does lead to a drop in resolution to 1440p.
