The initial Radeon 6000 refresh was initially rather underwhelming. We had a number of SKUs during the refresh back in May of 2022, and the performance metrics were somewhat disappointing. Due to the price of these new cards and the very similar performance when compared to RTX 3000 options, they didn’t sit well with us and many consumers across the board. Fast forward about six months, and these cards have gone through an absolute renaissance of driver optimisations, significantly improving the overall performance metrics.
If we fast forward a little bit more to the present, the Radeon RX 6750 XT right now is quite possibly one of the best graphics cards on the mid-range side of the market. Consumers get access to 12GB of VRAM, providing longevity for modern games as the performance demands start to rise. You also get a card that can easily handle high refresh rate 1440p gaming, all for a price that sits well below the $400 mark. Radeon RX 6750 XT Performance Metrics

Spiderman Miles Morales
For our first benchmark, we tested out Spiderman Miles Morales at 1440p high with FSR enabled. The RX 6750 XT offered an average framerate of around 108FPS, which was more than playable. Ultimately we weren’t able to reach the 144Hz sweet spot, but this won’t be as important in this particular game, due to the title not being as intense in terms of the gameplay. This card obviously does sit pretty close to the bottom versus other cards, but considering the age of this card, this is pretty strong performance overall.
Apex Legends
In Apex Legends we saw framerates skyrocket up to 185FPS, which is ideal for those playing ranked that need the most frames that they can possibly get. This allows consumers to play games at a high refresh rate as well, providing a buttery smooth display experience, minimising any tears or stutters even when you’re in an intense gunfight. The 6750 XT is definitely stretching its legs here, and the extra VRAM is proving to be worth it.
Hogwarts Legacy
In Hogwarts Legacy, we saw an average framerate of around 98FPS which is pretty strong considering how intense this game can be. The 6750 XT does lose out to the RTX 4060 Ti in this particular game, but we imagine the situation will change drastically if we bump up the resolution. The VRAM will definitely be of use at a higher resolution in this particular title, and we expect this to be the same for other more modern DX12-based games.
F1 2022
For our final game, we ran F1 2022 at 1440p with FSR enabled. In this game, the RX 6750 XT was one of the best performing GPUs offering a framerate of 224FPS on average. Again, this means consumers to enjoy exceptionally high refresh rates, allowing users to make split-second decisions in an intense race. This is where we’re seeing the higher VRAM capacity flexing its muscles, with FSR also providing a much needed boost too.

Things We Don’t Like

Quite a large AIB: Unfortunately, if you’re building a more compact system, this GPU might be a little bit too big. The Challenger Pro comes in at 303mm, which could cause some clearance issues in smaller cases.

This particular card is one of the more interesting designs we’ve seen in a graphics card, and moves away from the more traditional black and grey cards that we normally get in the office.
